Ranked first among disability causing diseases in under 50s, Migraine is characterized by recurrent headaches of moderate to severe intensity. Headaches are mostly pulsating in quality, aggravated by physical activity and accompanied by nausea or/and vomiting. The disease adversely affects the normal day-to-day functioning of individuals, deteriorating their quality of life. It is diagnosed using a questionnaire designed by the International Headache Society.
